Love of Friendship 2010 Heart Bookends Story
I knew I wanted to do bookends that would have hearts on them. I had some needlepoint cloth around from a previous project and began stitching on the piece and got interrupted. When I returned, I had the start of the paired hearts and a small background heart up in a corner. I quickly finished the paired hearts, but they did not have the rounded corners. I wanted to have the smaller hearts form upward flowing rows, so I began those. It seemed that the closer I got to working around the paired hearts the more they seemed they were missing something. My husband told me they did not look at all like hearts to him and suggested I do something to turn them into hearts. Hope you like the curved heart edges that I added before I was too close to them with the smaller background hearts and think they look like hearts to you. Lastly, I wanted to use the single word on the second bookend to express a strong feeling.
These bookends would definitely be ones I would give to a friend.
